Monochrome Outlets
I’ve come to realize lately that if I don’t have a public outlet for the betterment of others, insecurity creeps in… mostly because I forget I actually know things. It’s easy to get stuck in my own head, thinking that everybody can do what I do, and that I really don’t bring much to the table.
With Things Learned in Monochrome, I’ve found a way to share what I’ve learned in the process of making a feature film. Also, it’s a log to remind me of what I have learned, so that I don’t forget the lesson.
It’s not exactly giving away trade secrets or anything (well, it kinda is), but I’m realizing that it’s as much for me as it is anyone else who might be paroosing it.
If you’re a filmmaker, feel free to check out the stories…. maybe it’ll help you out, and maybe you’ll get a chuckle from me learning things the hard way.
